I fuck them. I use them. I pay them off. I find another. My demands are never denied. My contracts are always signed. They submit to me. Willingly. Completely. Temporarily. This is how it’s always been. Until I saw that filthy tweet.
@VaughAsher My bare pussy. Your tongue. #ThingsIThinkAboutToGetOff
“FilthyBlueBird” thinks she can tease me with hashtags and then hide behind a Twitter handle? She thinks I wouldn’t be more than happy to #RockHerFilthyWorld? She’s wrong.

Her online fantasy is about to collide with her public reality, and it’s about to happen… now.

About The Author:
J. A. Huss likes to write new adult books that make you think and keep you guessing. Her favorite genre to read is space opera, but since practically no one reads those books, she writes new adult science fiction, paranormal romance, contemporary romance, urban fantasy, and books about Junco (who refuses to be saddled with a label).

She has an undergraduate degree in horses, (yes, really–Thank you, Colorado State University) and a master’s degree in forensic toxicology from the University of Florida. She used to have a job driving around Colorado doing pretty much nothing but shooting the breeze with farmers, but now she just writes, runs the New Adult Addiction and Clean Teen Reads Book Blogs, and runs an online science classroom for homeschoolers.

Waiting on Wednesday #3

This is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine where bloggers spotlight upcoming releases that they are eagerly anticipating.

The book I am most eager for this week is:-

Winter
by Marissa Meyer:

I cannot say that I have ever been the strongest lover of the The Lunar Chronicles series. While I loved Cinder, the rest of the series hasn't exactly been a favourite of mine. I am hoping that the final instalment will end the series with an impressive bang. I cannot wait to see how all the Snow White mythology will be introduced and how everything is going to turn out...

I cannot believe we have to wait so long for it to be released! Fingers crossed ARCs get distributed soonish!

Cover to be revealed...

Description :

There is none yet unfortunately. All we know is that it is the last book in the Lunar Chronicles series and will introduce the new character of Snow White.

Release date: 10th of November, 2015

Astronomically far away! More than an entire year...

Series: The Lunar Chronicles, #4

Publisher: Feiwel and Friends

Genres: young adult, dystopia, sci-fi, retelling, fantasy

Review: The Hundred

The Hundred (The Hundred #1) by Kass Morgan

Title: The Hundred
Series: The Hundred, #1
Author: Kass Morgan

Published: Little, Brown Books for Young Readers; 2013
336 pages, kindle edition

Source: Netgalley

Rating: 5 stars!!!!

 Description (from Goodreads):

In the future, humans live in citylike spaceships orbiting far above Earth's toxic atmosphere. No one knows when, or even if, the long-abandoned planet will be habitable again. But faced with dwindling resources and a growing populace, government leaders know they must reclaim their homeland...before it's too late.

Now, one hundred juvenile delinquents are being sent on a high-stakes mission to recolonize Earth. After a brutal crash landing, the teens arrive on a savagely beautiful planet they've only seen from space. Confronting the dangers of this rugged new world, they struggle to form a tentative community. But they're haunted by their past and uncertain about the future. To survive, they must learn to trust-and even love-again.

My Thoughts:

This is the first book that I have given 5 stars all year: that is eight months and about 180 books that I have read and haven't found as good as this. I just wanted to note that before I began. If that doesn't speak volumes I don't know what will.

There really isn't much I am going to be able to say about this. Some people say that bad reviews are hard to write but I disagree - I am terrible at writing the glowing, happy, giddy-from-fangirling reviews. I just don't have the words to describe how flippin' fantastic this is. All I can say is one simple thing: I loved this. Every single aspect worked for me. I didn't even have one teensy issue with it.

The characters were perfect. I loved the variety and how we got to explore each of their perspectives as well as look into their past. The plotline never failed to capture my attention, no parts were dull, poorly planned or sloppily written. The writing style was so perfect that I barely noticed it. Does that make sense? What I mean is that is was so easily readable, so descriptive yet not flowery, that I didn't even have to make a note of it. It just flowed and worked perfectly.

What more can I say really? To me this was faultless and I loved it. Day 21 has already been downloaded onto my kindle and I eagerly look forward to reading it. Go and pick up your copy now!

Note: a copy was provided courtesy of Kass Morgan and Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, through Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review. No compensation was given or taken during this process.

Description:
22-year-old Heidi Haynes is almost one year into her “real life”. She has her first reporting job, her first apartment, and a comfortable relationship with her college sweetheart. But for some reason she’s not as eager to talk about walking down the aisle as he is.

Heidi secretly longs for big cities, big-market breaking news, and real independence from her way-too-close-by helicopter parents. Problem is, the last time she left the security of home for new places and new people, things didn’t go so well. Disastrously, in fact, and she came running back to a local college and a “safe” boyfriend.

Aric Serrano is definitely not safe.

He’s six-feet-four-inches of missing-Hemsworth-brother-hotness and plans to stay in small-market-Southern-Hell just long enough to grab a cup of coffee and put together a kick-ass “escape tape”. He’ll serve his one-year contract, then he’s taking off for a higher rung on the TV sports ladder—alone—the way he likes it. Then he meets his new co-anchor.

Heidi would be so much more comfortable if she could simply ignore Aric. He’s just her type—the type she’s so careful to avoid these days. But that becomes impossible when she's forced to work closely with him on the weekend newscast. Now the attraction between them is growing even faster than the ratings, and what happens behind the scenes is the real news.

 About The Author:

Amy is a two-time Golden Heart finalist (2013 and 2014) who writes Young Adult fiction as Amy DeLuca and New Adult romance as Amy Patrick.  She lives in Rhode Island with her husband and two sons and actually craves the heat and humidity of Mississippi, where she grew up. She's been a professional singer and news anchor and currently narrates audio books as well as working as a station host for a Boston TV station.

Interview with Amy Patrick:

Your main character in Channel 20Something, Heidi, is a first-year TV news reporter/anchor. You were also a TV news reporter, right? Is Heidi anything like you?

Well, she’s definitely not me, but I did give her some of the same struggles and experiences I had as a newbie reporter/anchor. And like me, she grew up in a small Mississippi town. We also shared the same *unfortunate* nervous-stomach issue.

Did you actually throw up in front of the governor of Mississippi one minute before going on live TV like Heidi did?

Why yes. Yes I did. Nothing like rookie reporter nerves. Happy to report I did eventually get over that little problem and can now appear on television without any threat of my lunch reappearing.

Do you have a favourite character in Channel 20Something?

It’s really hard to choose. I really relate to some of Heidi’s passion and confusion and mistakes. I love her sister Jane Elaine. But I’d have to say Aric is my favorite. I mean, what’s not to love? Ultra-hot guy who’s also funny and kind? Yes please.
Do all the 20 Something novels take place in the South?

Book 1, Channel 20Something, is set in Mississippi, where Heidi gets her first job. Book 2, Still Yours, takes place in Providence, Rhode Island, the news market where Heidi’s friend Mara is starting a new job (and running into the ex she hoped she’d never lay eyes on again). Meanwhile, Heidi’s other best friend Kenley has moved to Atlanta and is starting a job at WNN. We’ll hear her story in Book 3, Still Me.
Beyond being a writer, what’s going on in your life?

I narrate audiobooks for other authors and I’m in the middle of a fun small-town mystery series for author Sandra Balzo. I have a small recording studio in my house where I lay down my tracks, then I send them to a sound engineering for post-production. I also have two boys who are about to go back to school, so we’re making preparations for that while trying to squeeze in a bit more summer fun. It goes so fast!
What’s one crazy fact about you that most people who meet you probably wouldn’t guess was true?
I used to be a professional singer. I’ve sung in several bands and did background vocals on a smooth jazz album. I also sang the theme song for SAS Airlines years ago. "Welcome aboard… to the skies… of S-A-S… where you’ll find… happiness."

Thank you so much for having me today. It’s been so much fun being on your blog!

*Prequel:
The Day Human Prince (The Day Human Trilogy #1)

Devin Alexander grew up as the only day human in a world surrounded by night humans who drank blood, sometimes his blood. He spent his life training toward one goal: the protection of one of those blood drinkers, Arianna Grace. But what is he supposed to do when the blue-eyed girl of the legends doesn’t need him anymore? What does his life mean then? How is a guy supposed to move on when the girl he has yearned over for a decade has chosen someone else? Before he can even start to figure out his new life without Arianna, Devin has to deal with another problem. He needs to take care of some unfinished business with a night human he has known for less than a month, but with whom he is magically bound.

Vanessa McKinny has promised that she knows a way to undo the spell she placed on Devin to save his life. Devin would do anything to break the bond to be free of her, even if it means traveling to the sidhe village, a place inhabited by a race of night humans that has not had a day human visitor in more than a hundred years. If he doesn’t want to get stuck, he must work with Nessa to find a way to break the bond. Only then can Devin have time to get back to finding his new goal in life, unless he discovers that his path lies with the sidhe.

Sunday Overview #1

This is a weekly post that I put on to let you know what's been happening recently and what I have planned out for the following week.

For me this week has been a bit of a toughy. Not only have I been sick, my mum's been sick, dance exams started (my head is spinning with jetes and plies and a million other French verbs), subject choices have been introduced, meaning I have to pick what I want to do in school for the next year by Wednesday (I have no idea! Ancient studies or German? Music or Legal studies?) and sadly, my uncle passed away on Monday. Its been a long and weary week for me but I have still managed to get a few things read and posted. Thank the Lord for that blessed "scheduling" button that takes care of everything for me!!
