 Description (from Goodreads):

In the future, humans live in citylike spaceships orbiting far above Earth's toxic atmosphere. No one knows when, or even if, the long-abandoned planet will be habitable again. But faced with dwindling resources and a growing populace, government leaders know they must reclaim their homeland...before it's too late.

Now, one hundred juvenile delinquents are being sent on a high-stakes mission to recolonize Earth. After a brutal crash landing, the teens arrive on a savagely beautiful planet they've only seen from space. Confronting the dangers of this rugged new world, they struggle to form a tentative community. But they're haunted by their past and uncertain about the future. To survive, they must learn to trust-and even love-again.

My Thoughts:

This is the first book that I have given 5 stars all year: that is eight months and about 180 books that I have read and haven't found as good as this. I just wanted to note that before I began. If that doesn't speak volumes I don't know what will.

There really isn't much I am going to be able to say about this. Some people say that bad reviews are hard to write but I disagree - I am terrible at writing the glowing, happy, giddy-from-fangirling reviews. I just don't have the words to describe how flippin' fantastic this is. All I can say is one simple thing: I loved this. Every single aspect worked for me. I didn't even have one teensy issue with it.

The characters were perfect. I loved the variety and how we got to explore each of their perspectives as well as look into their past. The plotline never failed to capture my attention, no parts were dull, poorly planned or sloppily written. The writing style was so perfect that I barely noticed it. Does that make sense? What I mean is that is was so easily readable, so descriptive yet not flowery, that I didn't even have to make a note of it. It just flowed and worked perfectly.

What more can I say really? To me this was faultless and I loved it. Day 21 has already been downloaded onto my kindle and I eagerly look forward to reading it. Go and pick up your copy now!
