20 Things You Might Not Know About Me Tag
I wasn't tagged by anyone but I saw this tag over on Dee's Read and wanted to give it a go. It seemed like a cute way to end off the year. A whole year has passed and I feel like I haven't really contribute much about myself to this blog so here it goes...
1. I am addicted to Pinterest. Its scary how long I can spend on their every day.
Oh, if you have an account feel free to follow me!
2. I love animals! I have a pet cat named Timmy and a pet dog named Buddy who I absolutely adore. My favourite animals are red pandas, foxes and wolves.
3. History is my favourite school subject. I know that a lot of people think its a dry and boring but I find it fascinating.
4. My favourite foods are Fruchocs, those choc-chip scones that you can get from Bakers' Delights and pizza shapes. I don't know if any of those things exist outside of Australia though...
5. I have never left my country before and have only been out of my state twice - both times to Melbourne. There is nothing more I want than to travel to London, France and America.
6. Television programs are my life. I am a huge fangirl. It all started with Ghost Whisperer but I am the world's biggest fan of Bones. I am even watching it as I type this up! I love practically all crime shows though, mainly Castle, NCIS: LA, Criminal Minds, Grimm, Scorpion, Elementary, etc. but I also enjoy contemporary shows such as Friends and The Big Bang Theory.
7. My favourite colours are blue and grey - I know that's a weird colour to love but... *shrugs*
8. My reading obsession started with my mum's old collection of The Babysitter's Club series and the Rainbow Magic Fairy books.
9. I am still in (senior) high school.
10. One of my biggest bucket lists items is to go to BEA and meet J.K. Rowling - very clichéd, I know.
11. I am the world's fussiest eater. I don't eat many foods at all and practically live on a diet of plain pasta, coffee and apples.
12. My favourite bands are Imagine Dragons and The Script but I also love Ed Sheeran (going to his concert in March!), Gabrielle Aplin and Bruno Mars.
13. I play piano and clarinet.
14. I hate shopping.
15. I wear glasses for reading and computers, but only at home. Its too much bother bringing my glasses to school with me, especially when I get so much rubbish from my classmates for wearing them.
16. I am a huuuuuge Captain America fan and love the Marvel movies to pieces.
17. I don't do sports but I have been a dancer since I was four. I love ballet and contemporary.
18. I have never read a classic book but plan to next year.
19. I am taking some advanced classes next year and want to get a career in something history-related once I leave school. If that doesn't work out, I am defaulting to a law clerk.
20. I hate high heels and, despite the fact that I am only 5 ft 3, I rarely wear them.

What did you think of this? I hope you learnt something about me. This was a surprisingly hard challenge, I am a terribly boring person and couldn't think of anything to say! Anyway, I would love if you could also participate in this challenge as I would love to learn a little more about you.
Don't forget to comment below and enjoy the last few days of the year.
My official tag is going to be anyone is particular since I wasn't tagged in this myself! :)

It's frightening how similar we are! The same taste in music, loving history, the first books we read... Even wanting to read a classic next year! I think I'll do this tag too, nice post :)
ReplyDeleteOh really? Are you an Imagine Dragons fan too!? And a history buff too!? I haven't met many people that like history like I do. Everyone thinks its too dull and boring. What classics are you thinking? Maybe we can read a few together? :) Thanks and you should. What the name of your blog? I think I am following you on Bloglovin' but I am not sure... :)
DeleteNot Imagine Dragons, but Ed Sheeran (I'm also going to his concert, just after you I think), Bruno Mars, and sometimes the Script. Yeah, I think I'm the only one in my entire history class that's carrying on with it next year! :) I'm going to see what I own... Possibly Pride and Prejudice? What about you? I'm victoriajaynesbooks.worpress.com (I think it'll be my name when I post)
DeleteEd Sheeran's new album is amazing and I am so darn excited for his concert. Are you in Australia too then? :) Really? Me too!! I have to take it as an extra course outside of the curriculum because no-one else would do it. I think I do own that one but I'll have to check. I'll comment back when I find out. I have a buddy planned for The Picture of Dorian Grey if you're interested. :) And I followed you. :)
DeleteHi Rachel, your blog looks great! I wear glasses to except no-one in my school ever makes fun of me for it. Although, in general the people in my year are pretty sound so they never really hassle anyone. I hope you get to go abroad some time, it's a great experience. Being from Ireland we're close to a lot of other places so it's pretty easy to get abroad. Your blog looks great and I've subscribed to you via e-mail.
ReplyDeleteThanks Killian! Really!? Lucky you. They sound like a nice group of people. Even my teachers called my "four eyes" which offended me more than I cared to admit. I really, really have my fingers crossed about studying abroad. Maybe I might even get to Ireland one day! The Skulduggery Pleasant series is based there and it sounds nice. :) Thanks so much! It means a lot to get followers. Do you have a Bloglovin'? :)
DeleteWell, your teachers are wankers then. I'd love to study abroad too except it's WAY too expensive. I think my plan is to go to college in Dublin and then do a Masters or something in England. I might study something like Law and French too, which would mean that I'd get to study in France for a year.
ReplyDeleteI do have a Bloglovin' account and here's the link to it if you're interested: http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/13338693/?claim=h5jtsyt84q5
Aha! Some of them are. :) That's sounds like an awesome plan. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of options for international studies here. You rarely hear of people leaving the state to study at different unis.
DeleteThanks. I'll follow you. :)
Oh wow, I love Pinterest as well! I don't spend too much time on there, but it is an amazing site. History is an awesome subject and is probably my second favourite <3 Oh and yes, come to London, my home city! It's great, just stay safe as well :) Gabrielle Aplin and Burno Mars are amazing! I am also a picky eater, but I don't like the plain things. No bread for me. None of that... Oh and my reading obsession started with the Rainbow Magic Fairies as well! I had tons and then cried when my mum made me donate them to the library because I needed to read more adult books. I still have one secretly saved though - Sky the Blue Fairy :P
ReplyDeleteThanks Olivia-Savannah! I am pretty proud of it. :) What's you favourite subject then? I also love taking German. You live in London!? Gosh, that's so unfair... :) I will have to come and visit, don't worry! I am glad we have so many similar tastes - music and foods! Those books were so damn good. Aha! I still have my collection buried under my bed. There are about 100 of those books! I used to love them so much because each book had the characters Kristy and Rachel so it was like I was in each books. So fantastic! :)
DeleteHEY, it started with Ghost Wisperer for me too! And I feel ashamed to say that I didn't even finish it! I have an OCD to start new series all the time. ALL THE TIME. Now I'm watching Revenge, Once Upon a Time, Arrow, Charmed, Grey's Anatomy and The Originals. At least, trying to. There are so many episodes! :P
ReplyDeleteGhost Whisperer was one of the most amazing television programs ever. Oh, the memories! :) I don't blame you for stopping. The last two seasons were abosutley atrocious...
DeleteOoh I'm so glad u did this! I am addicted to Pinterest 2! I added you :) I love cats as well, and going to BEA would be freaking fantastic! It's def a goal for me. I wear glasses :) but never heels either.
ReplyDeleteGreat to learn more about you Rachel!
-Dee's Reads
Thanks Diamond. I saw it on your blog and had to do it. :) I'll add you on Pinterest then. I love that site! :) Do you have any pet cats? I am saving up for a BEA trip. I might do it with a friend for a gap year trip after school. :) Glasses buddies! Thanks.
DeleteThis was such a fun post, I'm tempted to do it myself! As I was reading it I was nodding to myself going 'yep, me too' because we seem to have a few things in common. I love cats, (used to) love history at school, like the colour grey, and hate high heels to name a few!
ReplyDeleteYou should do it then! I would love to see your post. :) Nice. Oh really!? Its fantastic when you realise other people have a lot in common with isn't it? :)
DeleteI probably will at some point, it's just fitting it in around other posts I have scheduled. Yes, I love finding out things in common! Especially with people who read because people I know thing reading is weird, so finding similarities between myself and other readers makes me feel totally normal. :)
DeleteI understand. Too many ideas, not enough time right? I love that there is such an extensive reading community on here. In "reality" there is a rather prominent lack of people like us and its nice to get to talk to like-minded people once in awhile. :)
DeleteThat's exactly it. And because I post weekly, I still have reviews I did months ago to post. :( Yes! That's why I'm so glad I started blogging and discovering other people's blogs. :)
DeleteOops! Well, 2015 going to be a year of catching up for me so hopefully it will be for you too! :)
DeleteIt definitely will be!
